Happy 2026! How is your new year shaping up?

Mine is taking some unexpected, but exciting new turns. I did not see this coming… at least not so soon.

Since giving my talk at the Katherine Small Gallery in September and attending a lecture and dinner with renowned typeface designer, Matthew Carter, I’ve meet some wonderful creatives from around the Boston area…professional artists, students, professors, and alumni from some of the best design schools in the country. One conversation leads to another and…long story, short, I have been invited to teach as adjunct faculty at Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) starting the Spring Semester of 2026. MassArt received Money Magazine’s Best Colleges Award in 2025 and is ranked #5 best design school in the country according to U.S. News and World Report.

I will be joining a dedicated team of educators and practicing artists who share a common interest in raising up the next generation of creative thinkers. I will bring my specific expertise in medallic work, typography, graphic design, and illustration to a very talented sophomore class.

This has been on my career goals list for over 30 years. Big milestone… more to come.
